CRANKSHAFT REAR OIL SEAL - MANUAL

Service repair no - 12.21.20

Remove

  1. Remove flywheel. See this section.
Crankshaft rear oil seal - manual – Remove flywheel. See this section.
  1. Remove 5 bolts securing crankshaft rear oil seal to cylinder block.
  2. Remove crankshaft rear oil seal.

Refit

  1. Clean cylinder block face and oil seal running surface on crankshaft.
  2. Lubricate oil seal running surface with clean engine oil.

  1. Position oil seal protector tool 18G 1108 to crankshaft.
  2. Position oil seal to crankshaft.
  3. Clean bolts and apply Loctite 242 to first 3 threads, fit bolts and tighten to 9 Nm.
  4. Remove oil seal protector.
  5. Fit flywheel. See this section.
