Timing belt cover - front LH - air conditioning

Refit

  1. Fit seal to cover.
  2. Fit cover taking care not to displace seal.
  3. Fit bolts securing cover and tighten to 4 Nm.
  4. Align PAS pipe clip to engine bracket. fit and tighten bolt.
  5. Fit PAS pump pulley and fit bolts.
  6. Raise belt tensioner and connect drive belt to alternator and PAS pump pulleys.

CAUTION: Ensure belt is correctly located in pulley grooves.

  1. Tighten PAS pulley bolts to 9 Nm.
  2. Fit engine acoustic cover, See BODY, Repairs.
  3. Connect battery earth lead.

Service repair no - 12.65.41/20

Remove

  1. Remove ancillary drive belt. See ELECTRICAL, Repairs.

  1. Remove bolts securing PAS pump pulley.
  2. Remove pulley.

  1. Remove bolt securing PAS pipe clip to engine bracket.
  2. Remove 3 bolts securing timing belt cover.
  3. Ease PAS pipe away from engine.
  4. Release and remove cover.
  5. Remove seal from cover.
