INLET CAMSHAFT FRONT OIL SEAL - LH BANK

Service repair no - 12.13.40

Remove

  1. Remove camshaft timing belt. See this section.
Inlet camshaft front oil seal - lh bank – Remove camshaft timing belt. See this section.
  1. Fit tool 18G 1747-2 to front timing gear.

CAUTION: Tool must be fitted when loosening or tightening gear retaining bolt, otherwise damage to camshaft may occur.

Inlet camshaft front oil seal - lh bank – Fit tool 18G 1747-2 to front timing gear.
  1. Remove bolt retaining front timing gear and discard.
  2. Remove camshaft gear and hub.
Inlet camshaft front oil seal - lh bank – Remove camshaft gear and hub.
  1. Remove camshaft oil seal using tool 18G 1768.
