Refit

  1. Clean mating surfaces of camshaft cover and carrier.
  2. Clean inside of camshaft cover. If necessary, wash oil separator gauze and blow dry.

CAUTION: When fitting new gasket ensure arrows point towards inlet manifold.

Clean inside of camshaft cover. If necessary, wash oil separator gauze and blow dry.
  1. Fit new gasket and position camshaft cover to carrier. Fit bolts and working in the sequence illustrated, tighten progressively to 9 Nm.
  2. Position harness bracket to camshaft cover and tighten bolt to 8 Nm.
  3. Connect spark plug leads and secure breather hoses to camshaft cover.
  4. Position spark plug cover and tighten bolts to 4 Nm.
  5. Fit engine acoustic cover, See BODY, Repairs.
