  1. Release clips securing coolant bleed hose to manifolds, release and remove hose.

  1. Remove bolt securing harness bracket to camshaft cover.
  2. Progressively loosen and remove 14 bolts securing camshaft cover.
  3. Remove camshaft cover and gasket.

  1. Progressively loosen and remove 8 cylinder head bolts.

NOTE: Height of engine will need to be adjusted on jack to facilitate removal of head bolts.

  1. Using assistance, remove cylinder head assembly.
  2. Remove and discard cylinder head gasket.

CAUTION: Do not rotate crankshaft with cylinder head removed. Place cylinder head on blocks of wood to avoid damaging valves.
