No. Wire Test Condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if result is not obtained
1 BLK Under all conditions Check for continuity to earth:
There should be continuity.
  • Poor earth (G401)
  • An open in the wire.
2 YEL. Ignition switch ON Check for voltage to earth: There should be battery voltage.
  • Fuse No. 8 (10A) in the passenger compartment fuse box has blown.
  • An open in the wire.
3 GRN/WHT OFF, and gear lever in each position position. Check for continuity to earth:
There should be continuity.
  • Faulty A/T gear position switch
  • Poor earth (G401)
  • An open in the wire.
GRN/RED
GRN
GRN/BLK
GRN/BLU
GRN/YEL
LT GRN/WHT
4 RED/BLK Combination light switch on. Check for voltage to earth.
  • Fuse No. 9 (30A) in the engine compartment fuse/relay box has blown.
  • Fuse No. 13* in the auxiliary fuse holder (exceptKS) has blown.
  • Faulty combination light switch.
  • an open in the wire.
5 GRN. Ignition switch on and the gear lever in any position except D3 and D4 Check for voltage to earth: There should be battery voltage for about two seconds after ignition switch ON (bulb check function).
  • Faulty transmission control module (TCM).
  • An open in the wire.
Ignition switch ON, gear lever in D3 or D4, and S switch ON check for voltage to earth: There should be battery voltage.
  • Faulty S switch.
  • Faulty A.T gear position switch.
  • Faulty TCM.
  • An open in the wire.
6 YEL. Ignition switch ON, gear lever in D3 or D4, and S switch ON. Check for voltage to earth: There should be about 5V.
  • Faulty S switch
  • Faulty A/T gear position switch
  • Faulty TCM
  • An open in the wire
7 LT GRN Ignition switch ON Check for voltage to earth:
There should be about 5V
  • Faulty engine control module (ECM)
  • Faulty TCM
  • An open in the wire

No. 13 (10 A): KF, KG

No. 13 (15 A): KE
